VALENTINE’s CONCERT

Last Valentine’s Day we played a very special concert in Warsaw’s top spot Flaming & Co. for a select audience of Poland’s brightest personalities from the world of show business, fashion, press and politics. As the snowy winter raged outside, inside it was all candle light, roaring fireplaces and diamonds from the evening’s sponsor KRUK, the jeweler to the stars. We were thrilled to see this esteemed group come out in full force to hear and toast us and we had the best time playing and celebrating late into the night. It really was an unforgettable evening full of sparkle and atmosphere.

VIVA!

A photoshoot with the amazing Robert Wolanski for VIVA! magazine

MY LOS ANGELES

I was asked to do a session for a European glossy about Los Angeles. Robin Ganter photographed me in a few of LA’s most iconic locations that are also some of my favorite places. We had so much fun with it!

CAPRI

There is really no other place like it. The island of Capri on Italy’s Amalfi Coast is a treat for all senses. The views are spectacular from wherever you happen to be standing, the food is so fresh, simple and delicious eating becomes a whole new experience, there is beauty in every little thing here from the old windy, cobble-stoned streets and the crumbly villas to each piece of perfect burrata and the sheep on the hills of Anacapri. Time goes by slower and you want to savor every minute. It is quite impossible to put into words but when you are here you understand what La Dolce Vita really means. Last year I came here for a magazine photoshoot, so some of these pictures are from it, but most I took myself.

STARS LEND A HAND TO RAISE FUNDS

One of the my best friends and sweetest people in the world, Lorraine Schwartz, is a designer of the most exquisite jewelry. We met in 2001 and became fast friends. Then September 11 happened and we wanted to do something to help. Between the two of us we knew jewelry and shopping so we put the two together and created a high profile jewelry shopping event, the proceeds of which benefited the children and widows of September 11′ fallen heroes. The fundraiser was a big success and we decided to do it every year in December for a different cause. This one was one of my favorites because it benefited The Children’s Defense Fund and also because we got Elizabeth Taylor to co-chair it with us and come to the event. The press went nuts. She never attended public functions any more at that point so it was amazing to have her with us laughing and looking through the baubles and having a great time.

UNPLUGGED

We really enjoyed this concert on Poznan’s old town square. Maciej Sobczak, Robert Fraska, Darek Nowicki and I played all of our songs unplugged that night in the warm atmosphere of Weranda, which is a great place in Poznan’s old town square. It was just after Ney Year’s, everyone was in holiday mode and the audience was fantastic. They did not want to let us go. We did not expect this many encores and ran out of songs after the fourth time, so they asked us to do Uncertain Hour one more time. Concert produced by Agencja Ikart
